Jermey Parnell and Darrion Weems seem to have the inside track on this position.
Both of these players seem to be equal in talent and they have both shown some improvement over last season. Parnell is healthy this year – unlike last training camp – and it was just last season when people were wondering if Parnell was going to beat out Doug Free at right tackle. Now I’m not sure if that was more because how bad Free played in 2012 or if Parnell really showed enough to make it a competition in 2013. I think it was the ratchet play of Free, but that’s over and done with. Brian Broaddus gives a good analysis on both players over at the mother ship.
Name to watch: John Wentzel. The game isn’t too big for him from what I’ve been hearing and he seems to be holding his own when given opportunities.
