2014 Offensive Position Battles for Training Camp

Brian Leatherman

[tps_title]Backup QB Position Battle[/tps_title]

Brandon Weeden. Caleb Hanie. Dustin Vaughan.

Weeden has the reps with the first string offense since the start of OTA’s and mini-camp, while Romo is on the sidelines padding his recovery time. Weeden is the backup QB as of right now. I feel Hanie was brought in for insurance on Weeden and if Vaughan shows enough in Oxnard, he could work his way onto the practice squad.

Name to watch: Kyle Orton. What the hell is this guy doing? Nobody knows and I’m not sure he even knows. He needs to make a choice and make one quickly because he will continue to pay out the longer he sits out.
