When I first started this site back in 2009 – known then as CowboysNation.net – one of my ultimate goals was to provide forums for diehard Cowboys fans to discuss their team, but that never came to fruition. Forums are tough to launch and run and require an inordinate amount of time to manage; too much when you’ve also got writers and multiple sites to manage. So the forums kept getting pushed to a back burner.
The answer to my problem is Pigskin Hub.
Single Point Of Access – Being an all-32 NFL forum means that there’s a section exclusive to every NFL team, and what good would that be unless they were all easily accessible from a single web address? PigskinHub.com is a one-stop destination for all NFL football discussion.
Open & Trouble-Free Access – Forums are a place where ideas and fans come together to enhance the fan experience, and Pigskin Hub recognizes that such a platform must be freely accessible by all. There are no sign-up fees, no membership dues, and no pay-per-view content. There are hardly even any ads to speak of, just fantastic fans discussing their love of football from their computers and mobile devices.
Discussion & News – The majority of content on a forum is created by the users in the form of discussion, but it helps to have a little nudge on some topics to spark a conversation. So Pigskin Hub and Inside The Star are tightly integrated to solve this problem. All articles on this site have a thread created in the appropriate forum where replies and comments on the article are synced together in real time. This expands the reach of discussions and brings in new people that might not otherwise have had the means to do so.
All told, the partnership with Pigskin Hub adds a level of interaction for fans and readers that no other site offers.
I’m going to be placing some links around InsideTheStar.com to the Cowboys forum on PigskinHub.com in the coming days to make it easier for folks to find the forum. It officially opened just a few days ago so I’m working with Pigskin Zac spreading the word as far as we can to bring in new active users.
I encourage all of our readers to go check it out. Signing up is free and the forums are fully accessible on all devices (desktop, tablet, mobile). Just pick your username and password to get started.
Join the new Pigskin Hub NFL Forums today – PigskinHub.com. Great football, fantastic fans.
Pigskin Hub isn’t an entirely new subject for our readers. We’ve been talking about a wonderful new Android app that delivers quality Cowboys news to your Android-powered mobile devices for a few weeks now, and actually it’s not so new. The Pigskin Hub – Cowboys News app has been around for more than a year and maintains a nearly perfect rating among its users.
If you have an Android device and haven’t tried it yet then I recommend you do so today.
The forums are the heart of Pigskin Hub – or football community, to put it in other terms – and the apps go along side the forums for a complete user experience. The forums are integrated into the app via menu links to the forums and to the live game day chat hosted on the forum. The suite of apps offered by Pigskin Hub already includes an app for every NFL team, but the Dallas Cowboys, Green Bay Packers, San Francisco 49ers, Pittsburgh Steelers, and Oakland Raiders apps have gotten off to the strongest start already.
Those of you who enjoy forums may already be aware of Pigskin Hub, though the name won’t ring any bells for you. Cowboys Addicts is the name it used to go by when it was just a Cowboys forum. Just like Cowboys Addicts/CowboysFans.com has joined with InsideTheStar.com in the last month, the forums were closed down and moved to the Dallas Cowboys section of Pigskin Hub.
I feel very strongly that this partnership is the best way we can provide a greater experience for fans and look forward to talking with all of you at PigskinHub.com!”
Awesome – Congrats! :p
