Chandler Jones (6’5″, 265)
Chandler Jones is probably on the top of every teams list that is looking for a pass rushing defensive end. If the Dallas Cowboys are going to spend money on the defensive side of the ball, they would be wise to invest in a player of Jones’ caliber.
Jones is just 26 and after being traded by the New England Patriots to the Arizona Cardinals for a second round draft pick and offensive guard Jonathan Cooper, he accumulated 11 quarterback sacks in his first year in Arizona. That is definitely the kind of production the Cowboys would like to get from their DEs.
Unfortunately, I kinda doubt the Cardinals will let Jones get away. They’ve already invested a second round draft pick in him and will probably try to work out a long-term contract this off-season. If they can’t come to terms with one another then Arizona will probably slap him with the franchise tag.
It would likely take a big money contract from the Cowboys or a possible trade with Arizona after they have placed the franchise tag on Jones to bring him to Dallas.
