There are officially 85 days until the toe meets the ball at AT&T Stadium where the Dallas Cowboys will host the New York Giants on NBC’s Sunday Night Football.
Ocho cinco. That’s what we’re working with at this point. While the artist formerly known as Chad Johnson never played for America’s Team (I’m sure that he wishes he had) there have been quite a few 85s. On this glorious Saturday we’re going to crown the best one.

Yes, you read Rayfield Wright. The Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of 2006 member played his rookie year (1967) under the 85 banner.
Fans might remember Kevin Ogletree for his 85 heroics in the bowels of the 2012 season when he lit up the Giants on the night that they unveiled their Super Bowl XLVI banner, but unfortunately for him that doesn’t make him the greatest.
Drafted in the 2nd round of the 1993 NFL Draft, Kevin Williams was one of many Jimmy Johnson Miami Hurricanes to migrate to Texas. Williams excelled a lot in the return game as a Cowboy. In 1994 he became the first Dallas Cowboy EVER to return both a kickoff and punt for a touchdown in the same season. In his four seasons with us Williams set franchise records for kickoff returns (144), total returns (239), and kickoff return yards (3,416).
Kevin was a member of both the Super Bowl XLVIII and Super Bowl XXX World Champion squads. He was part of the 90s dynasty that we all know and love, and he is the Greatest 85 in Dallas Cowboys History.
