According to former Cowboy wide receiver and special teams ace Jesse Holley, who was interviewed just prior to the Cowboys’ first preseason game against the San Diego Chargers, Josh Brent not only believes that he’ll be rejoining his former team, but he also feels that he’ll actually be a “key contributor” to the team in 2014.
Holley used the term “productive guy” when describing his view of Brent’s potential contributions to the team this year. Holley, who exchanged texts with Brent following his meeting with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell on Thursday, said Brent has been working out with former Cowboy Andre Gurode in his attempt to become football ready in case Goodell allows him another bite at the NFL apple.
