Super Bowl Bound!!!

Teddy Shinn

For all of those people in the world that say the Cowboys are going to go to the Super Bowl and win… PIPE DOWN AND LISTEN FOR A MINUTE!!

In today’s sports world it is very hard for teams to please fans. In 2007 our Cowboys went 13-3 had a first round bye and everyone was screaming Super Bowl Bound! What happened, we lost to the Giants in the second round. This year all you heard was how the Cowboys are going to be a shoe in for the Super Bowl; guess what, 9-7 with losses to Arizona and St Louis.

What happened to just winning a playoff game, and having a solid season. I would love to have them win just one, come on guys it has been 12 years. I considered the 13-3 in 2007 as an over achievement, and 2008 backed me up on it. Yeah there was Super Bowl talk then too, but it wasn’t taken that seriously. Don’t get me wrong guys, I love the Cowboys and I want a sixth ring so bad. Heck my pick last year was Pittsburgh and Dallas going at it to see who will get that sixth ring first. We can say the Cowboys are going to win it all every year, but just because they don’t doesn’t mean the season was a bust. All it means are we have to get better, and we will.

  1. Yeah, all the hype and predictions for the team get on my nerves, at least when the Super Bowl is mentioned.
This team hasn’t done anything to deserve a SB in 12 years, same as playoff wins, but that doesn’t mean they are bad team or will never win again, just means they have some work to do to go the rest of the way.
That’s why I like moves like cutting Owens and Williams and Pacman, time to move on from the people that bring as much headache as success and focus on getting the people who bring success without the headache!
2008 wasn’t a bust until December, and it was all at the doing of Terrell Owens. Anyone who doesn’t believe that just needs to look at his jersey, that’s a Buffalo, not a star! The team was managing with all the other stuff, and then he went and talked to Sanders and Garrett and things got worse, too bad, they ended.
