With Matt Cassel in at quarterback, the Cowboys offense was much more dynamic in the loss to the Giants. The playcalling was excellent, and the running game excelled. However, they could not overcome three Cassel interceptions, as the Giants defense and special teams led them to victory.
Here are our plays of the week:
The Cowboys first touchdown came from Darren McFadden, and it gave them a 13-7 lead late in the second quarter. Cassel threw a beautiful strike to Jason Witten on the drive, setting up McFadden’s one-yard plunge.

Of course, it was the second straight drive that should have ended in a DMC touchdown. He had this one called back by a pass interference call on Devon Street. What do you think, Cowboys Nation?

It appeared that Street made a good effort NOT to make contact with the defender, who was out of position to make a play on McFadden. None the less, this was a turning point in the game as Dallas settled for a field goal.
Leading 13-10 at the half, it didn’t take the Cowboys long to squander away momentum. After nearly having an interception in the first half, Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie came up with one on the first possession of the third quarter – and returned it for a score.

This gave the Giants the lead before another Cassel interception led to another New York score. A 34-yard field goal gave them a seven-point lead at 20-13 near the end of the third quarter.
This drive was boosted by this ridiculous Rueben Randle reception, on a third down and 5.
Really, @RuebenRandle???
What is it about Cowboys and @Giants and impossible one-hand grabs? #DALvsNYG https://t.co/4PszRmfzjg

The Cowboys would tie it up in the fourth quarter, with an 80-yard march that took just nine plays. The two big plays came back to back from Terrance Williams and Devon Street.
After Williams made a tip-toe catch on the sideline, it was Street that was not to be outdone. This similar catch in the back of the end zone tied the game.
1 catch. 2 toes in. 6 points.
Unbelievable. #DALvsNYG https://t.co/8ctXk5mfZI

The heroics of the drive would quickly be lost though, as Dwayne Harris took the ensuing kickoff 100 yards for the winning touchdown. Shield your eyes…

The Cowboys would turn it over on downs to follow, before forcing one final punt from the Giants to get the ball back late with no timeouts – in need of a touchdown to send the game to overtime.
They would not get this chance, as Cole Beasley muffed the kick and it was recovered by the Giants to end the game.

He was helped off the field by the Cowboys leader, Jason Witten.
