The Dallas Cowboys made some surprising cuts yesterday, leaving fans and media alike eagerly awaiting the subsequent roster moves. Those moves came today, as the Cowboys acquired another former Seattle Seahawks running back in Robert Turbin.
Turbin has averaged four yards a carry over his four-year career, and adds a physical element that compliments the style of Darren McFadden – who’s longevity is a concern.
Among other moves, rookie linebacker Mark Nzeocha was activated from the Reserve/Non-Football injury list.
Nzeocha was the seventh round pick for the Cowboys in this year’s draft.
Replacing Corey White will be cornerback Deji Olatoye, who was signed from the practice squad. Olatoye, in his second season, has spent time only on practice squads throughout his short career – including a previous stint with the Cowboys.
Joining him on the practice squad will be linebacker Keith Smith, who cleared waivers after being active against Tampa Bay, and safety Tim Scott.
