The news all week surrounding the Dallas Cowboys has been the likely return of Tony Romo. At 2-7, the Cowboys sputtered without their quarterback, having had to start the likes of journeyman in Brandon Weeden and Matt Cassel. In that span, some players have emerged for the Cowboys. One of those players has been Darren McFadden. However, it was reported after Thursday’s practice that the 28-year-old is dealing with a groin issue.
RB Darren McFadden was added to the Cowboys’ injury report Thursday. He was limited with a strained groin after practicing Wednesday.

Considering McFadden’s injury history, dating back to his days with the Oakland Raiders, the groin issue should not be taken lightly. However, NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport had some good news on Arkansas product:
#Cowboys listed Darren McFadden as limited with a groin injury, but my understanding is they were just keeping him fresh. Nothing serious

With Rapoport’s news, Cowboys fans can all breathe in a sigh of relief, as McFadden has done an incredible job over the past few games. Giving him the day off will be a huge boost. However, if the injury does act up, the Cowboys will be forced to use the likes of Rod Smith, Trey Williams, and recently-signed Robert Turbin.
