Tony Romo: Cowboys QB To Have Clavicle Plated

Bryson Treece

After the season our beloved Dallas Cowboys had in 2015, I think it’s safe to say that EVERYONE now knows precisely what a clavicle is, where it is, and that it can break. Just to be sure, Tony Romo broke his twice (the SAME one), just in case someone missed the lesson the first time around.

Every year around this time, fans and pundits alike begin this sort of war throwing speculation and accusations around like live grenades, and it’s all usually centered around a single huge story line.

Last year, DeMarco Murray left us all debating the what-to-do at running back. This year, it seems, the quarterback position is on the hot-seat.

Not a single fan among us can say that the Cowboys aren’t woefully pitiful at backup QB, not with a straight face anyway. Brandon Weeden, Matt Cassel, and Kellen Moore all demonstrated that very clear fact for us. And that’s likely to be the focal point of headlines from now throughout the draft, or even training camp if Dallas doesn’t have a new name to talk about by then.

So, to help us all out, Tony Romo has graciously agreed to undergo surgery to install a plate on his left clavicle.

That’s my quarterback, reinforcing his collarbone like a boss!

Thanks for taking the extra step of caution, Tony. Maybe now Cowboys Nation can start talking more football and less biology.
