It was a little over a week ago that Jerome Henderson took his “talents” to Hotlanta and the Falcons. The Dallas Cowboys, back in their building for the first full week since the Senior Bowl, are now looking to fill the void left by Henderson as the coach of the defensive backs.
Head Coach Jason Garrett likes men with leadership experience so it should come as no surprise that former San Francisco 49ers Head Honcho Mike Nolan is one of the dudes up for the gig. Nolan actually has no experience coaching the secondary, but he has spent time as the Defensive Coordinator for the Giants, Redskins, Jets, Ravens, Broncos, Dolphins, and Falcons. I think he knows what he’s doing.
Coach Nolan spent the 2015 season as the linebackers coach for the San Diego Chargers, but his resume is filled to the brim with that leadership trait that Jason Garrett covets.
The other gentleman on deck for an interview is Tim Lewis who has coordinated the defenses of the Steelers and Giants in his career. Lewis has far more experience as a secondary coach than Nolan having been in charge of those in Pittsburgh (the role where he actually began his career), Carolina, Seattle, Atlanta, and most recently San Francisco -Lewis served as the 49ers secondary coach in 2015.
The Cowboys actually recently interviewed former University of Miami Head Coach Al Golden during the Senior Bowl last week, but Coach Golden decided to go coach the tight ends in Detroit.
That decision obviously didn’t effect Calvin Johnson’s most recent inclination to retire so way to go, Lions.
We’ll have you updated here at Inside The Star whenever a coach is named!

Funny how they need to bring in yet another former HC to do the job that the "HC" can't do. He's not learning to be a HC you're just surrounding him with people that have a clue to hopefully make fans believe he's the man. From fans that really know the game of football that man will never get any respect from serious fans. We all KNOW he's a puppet that has NO business being a HC… on any team.
How do we KNOW he's a puppet? Legit asking how you have such inside info.

Explain 2014 for me, please. 12-4, NFC East Title, playoff victory. How'd that happen?
