It may only be March 15th, but the Dallas Cowboys are sorely in need of a pass rush.
Many people wanted them to go spend some big money on the biggest names on the market, but despite the “Jerry will spend whatever it takes” moniker the Cowboys have been relatively frugal in Free Agency so far.
Most of their moves have been re-signing their own, and to be fair to the opening line of this they did go out and add former Eagle Cedric Thornton to be their new 1-Tech Defensive Tackle.
Getting after the quarterback is the bread, butter, plate, and glass of milk in Rod Marinelli’s defense. There is currently some talent in the pass rush department on the Cowboys, but it isn’t exactly in bulk supply.
That could change when former Ram (St. Louis, Los Angeles, whatever you wanna call those glorified goats) Chris Long visits the Cowboys on Wednesday. Long has already visited with the Redskins, Falcons, and Patriots in his attempt to find a new home.
Hopefully the Cowboys will be able to work out a deal with Long. The limited talent on the defensive line has potential, but DeMarcus Lawrence is coming off of surgery, Randy Gregory is suspended for the first four games of the season, and after that there are really only a bunch of question marks.
Perhaps Chris Long can turn those into an exclamation point!
What do you think about Chris Long potentially trading in his Rams horns for a Cowboys Star? Let us know! Comment below, Email me at RJ@RJOchoaShow.com, or Tweet to me at @rjochoa!

The Boys do not recognize a good player ,when they see one …They will be in the same spot , they were in 2015. J.J. and his boy don't know football ,like they thing they do. It is not the players ,it's the Coaching staff that suck .
That's a bold statement considering they were NFC East champs in 2014, just a season ago. Jerry and Stephen and Will and Jason picked the players on that team the same as any other. What you're upset about, in my estimation, is that the Cowboys are shifting from a flashy, in your face market team to a conservative, foundational team the likes of the new England Patriots and Pittsburgh Steelers. It's frustrating, I agree, but how on earth can anyone not believe it's necessary to be fiscally responsible? Thanks for reading, Robert.
