Terrance Williams Ready to Welcome back Tony Romo

Sean Martin

Tony Romo has meant so much to everyone involved with the Dallas Cowboys over his career. From coaches, owners, and fans down to the very players that he shares a roster spot with, the veteran QB has given us a fair share of unforgettable memories while leaving it all on the field every Sunday for the silver and blue.

One fellow player on Romo’s offense, WR Terrance Williams, took to Instagram yesterday to boldly show his support for #9.

The caption read as follows:

“Nothing else matters. Most of y’all on here to hate so here’s the 🐐 so feel free to hate. #americasmostwanted #throwupthex #RealDealTWill #tonythegoat”

Williams has been criticized by Cowboys Nation since his selection in the third round of the 2013 draft. However, there is no question that he is a different player when Tony Romo is on the field.

Romo finds a way to elevate the level of play for all of his targets, and that is especially true for Terrance, who saw just 36 catches when targeted by Brandon Weeden, Matt Cassel, and Kellen Moore this season.

With Moore starting in week 17, Williams did finish 2015 with a season high 8 receptions for 173 yards. Let’s hope he can take this momentum into 2016, where he will have to earn his playing time with Romo by beating out the likes of Brice Butler in training camp.

A resurgent Terrance Williams to play across from a healthy Dez Bryant (who T-Will referenced in the Instagram post with the #ThrowUpTheX) could mean big numbers for the Cowboys offense in 2016 – led by Tony Romo.
