The first round of the 2016 NFL Draft is in the books, and it was as crazy as ever! Big moves and top-notch players highlighted the festivities from Chicago, most of which took place after the Cowboys fourth overall pick came and went, and Ezekiel Elliott was brought in to Cowboys Nation!
This was without a doubt an immensely exciting pick for Dallas, which sent Twitter users everywhere into a frenzy. Here are some of the highlights from last night:

Love Zeke Elliott in Dallas. He'll be a top five back in three years or less

I'm a broken record, but if the Cowboys want to contend before Tony Romo retires, that's how they do it.

For even more on how Elliott helps his new team, check out this in depth player analysis from Ian Koplowitz. Not only is Elliott ready to carry the Cowboys ground game on offense, but the former Ohio State back is also ready to handle some high expectations that come with being the potential final piece of the revamped “Cowboys triplets”.
While we have yet to hear from Tony Romo about the addition of Zeke, Dez Bryant did weigh in with this tweet:
Welcome … Let's see what happens

UPDATE: At 5:22 CT on April 29th, Tony Romo tweeted this welcome to Ezekiel Elliott.
Welcome to Dallas Ezekiel. Nothing better than your draft day! Or in my case, nothing better than teams fighting for you after it's over 🙂

Lastly, let’s take a look at a few tweets from YOU the fans, sent in to @CowboysNation!

@CowboysNation @sweetupdown06 @BilodeauRyan it's like we all wanted Ramsey, but there's no denying Zeke is going to be phenomenal.

@CowboysNation won't lie. I wanted Ramsey bad but I do believe Zeke will be a monster
