Sundays Without Football: Lucky Whitehead Hits The Streets Of Dallas

RJ Ochoa

June 5th marked the first Sunday in which Cowboys Nation was officially inside of 100 days left until America’s Team hits the field for the first time in 2016.

It was actually 98 days, or 14 weeks, until the toe meets the ball at AT&T Stadium with the New York Giants in town. So think back to what you were doing this past Sunday late in the afternoon and fast forward till then… you’ll be watching the Dallas Cowboys racing across the field in their trademark white uniforms.

If you were strolling around Dallas this past Sunday then you might’ve actually seen a Dallas Cowboy racing around town wearing something white – Lucky Whitehead in a Ferrari!Cowboys Headlines - Sundays Without Football: Lucky Whitehead Hits The Streets Of Dallas

The fan-favorite ace returner celebrated his 24th birthday last Thursday and seems to have been celebrating in style. If you follow Tyrone Crawford on Snapchat then you actually saw a bit of the party going on for Lucky this past weekend.

Lucky is no stranger to the popular social media platform that is Snapchat. Back in February he took over the official Snapchat account of the Dallas Cowboys and became even more popular with Cowboys Nation than he already is (and scored a second job at Popeye’s!).

The red-headed-dread-kid’s personal Snapchat account (Mustbeluck11) has been a great behind-the-scenes outlet for Cowboys fans as Lucky is always snapping!

He’s taken us into the locker room, weight room, Dallas Cowboys parking lot, and even developed his own personal catchphrases like “He won’t mind!” along the way. It was through Lucky’s personal account that we got to see him in action with this Ferrari.

Lucky Whitehead elaborated on his Snapchat life, road to the Dallas Cowboys, and what it was like being a return man on the #RJOShow. You can listen to that episode by clicking here.

While it certainly looks like Lucky had a good time, it’s hard to imagine that Jason Garrett would be thrilled if he knew that any one of his players was playing Fast & Furious in the streets of Dallas. Coach Garrett runs a tight ship so he’s probably well aware of this and moving faster than Lucky’s Ferrari to nip this in the bud.

He’ll have to catch Lucky in order to do that, something that the NFC East struggles with, and if he doesn’t he’ll have to deal with Lucky waving goodbye to him from far, far away.
