A Giant White Flag? New York’s New Look Could Lead to Losses

Many moons ago I was in the Sixth Grade Band at my Middle School. Don’t worry, I was on the Drumline so it was cool.

As you can imagine we had a lot of elements to our “uniform” that made us the swaggiest (Is that a word? It is now.) kids in school – white pants.

It seems that the only way that the New York Giants know how to be cool is to copy my sixth grade style.

New York, start spreading the news, typically wears murky grey pants when they’re in the Big Apple. Similar to the greatest tv character of all-time, Breaking Bad‘s Heisenberg, the Giants are trying to turn grey matter into white.

Even though The Dukes Of Hazzard cautioned us all that we’re not supposed to wear white after Labor Day, the Giants are unafraid and will be stocking up on plenty of those shout pen things to keep their uniforms nice and clean.

They’ll have a difficult time, though. The Giants, who brought the white bottoms back into circulation for the first time since 1999 in 2013, don’t fare so well in these pantaloons.

Giants Games In White Pants Since 2013 Opponent Result
November 10th, 2013 Oakland Raiders Win
November 24th, 2013 Dallas Cowboys Loss
November 3rd, 2014 Indianapolis Colts Loss
November 16th, 2014 San Francisco 49ers Loss
September 24th, 2015 Washington Redskins Win
November 15th, 2015 New England Patriots Loss

As you can see, the Giants boast a proud 2-4 record when wearing America’s signature red, white, and blue.

What’s pretty amazing about this is that the Giants have played 5/6 of these games in the month of November. Obviously they’ll be playing all of their home games in this new costume, so that’ll stretch on to other months.

What’s super amazing is that the first loss suffered this century by the Giants in their white pants came at the hands of the Dallas Cowboys, and the foot of Dan Bailey. The greatest kicker in the NFL crushed a 35-yard field goal with 4 seconds remaining that left the Giants needing new pants altogether.

It’s worth noting that the only time New York will rock their blue tops with grey bottoms will be when they visit AT&T Stadium during the season opener on September 11th. This is due to the fact that the Cowboys are the only team in the NFL that wears their white jerseys at home.

Precisely three months later the Cowboys and Giants will duel at the Meadowlands. That game will take place on December 11th, making it the second time in this rivalry’s history that the teams will meet on that exact day.

White pants, grey pants, ants in Eli Manning’s pants… the Dallas Cowboys are going to take care of business against the New York Giants in 2016.

  1. Lead to losses? Obviously, I should have known. This bias article is written by a delusional Cowboys fan! Good luck with everyone being on suspension Defense. And also good luck to that beleaguered, thst you call a secondary
