Six weeks through the season, the Dallas Cowboys might be the best team in the NFC. Yes, the absolute best.
Outside of a week one hiccup the Cowboys have controlled every single game they’ve played this season, and have dominated quality, playoff caliber opponents the last two weeks. Dak Prescott is rolling in ways that I never expected him to be, Ezekiel Elliott is the league’s leading rusher by a mile, and the defense is creating timely turnovers to give that offense even more opportunities to score.
As good as the Cowboys look right now, things got even better after the win in Green Bay, when veteran wide receiver Dez Bryant told reporters that he will be back and ready to go for the Cowboys next game against the Philadelphia Eagles.

In his last game action Dez went for over 100 yards on 7 catches in a win over the Washington Redskins, and scored his first touchdown of the year while hobbled against the Chicago Bears.
Being fully healed and eager to contribute to this winning team, Dez Bryant will add a whole new dimension to an offense which is already 3rd in the NFL in terms of yards per game.
Unlike last season where the Cowboys were clearly forced to rush Tony Romo and Dez Bryant back onto the field before they may have been ready, this current win streak has given them the ability to be patient and allow them their time to heal correctly.
Luckily for the team, and for us fans, Dez Bryant is forcing their hand and seems to be ready to play as soon as the next game.
For a team who’s strength is their offense to be succeeding this much, and playing this well, without their number one wide-out and starting quarterback is special, no matter what anyone in the National media or other fan-bases’ may say. Now, as they get their deep threat and play-maker back in the fold, this Cowboys offense will only be better coming off the bye week.
