Tony Romo Invites Teammates Over For A Chill Night At Home During Bye

RJ Ochoa

I think I speak for all members of Cowboys Nation when I say – I want to hang out with Tony Romo.

Not only is Tony the fearless leader of America’s Team, but he’s also a great person (you can read about a personal interaction I had with him here). Anyone and everyone who has ever interacted with Antonio Ramiro Romo swears by his kindness, plus the dude makes a mean crownie.

Perhaps crownies were served on Wednesday night when Tony and the ‘Boys hung out at Casa de Romo. Check out some photos from Anthony Hitchens‘ Snapchat account.

Anthony Hitchens is obviously impressed that his “guy” Tony has a basketball court in his home, and he should be! Romo is a huge sports fan. He loves football (duh), basketball, golf, anything and everything competitive… Tony is all about. In fact Tony loves basketball so much that we’ve even seen him, Coach Garrett, and Jason Witten hanging out at Duke games. This court, with the Star in the center, is incredible. Also… there’s a slide! Amazing.

I mentioned that Tony loves golf – remember the days where he tried to qualify for the U.S. Open? – and it seems there was some involved as well.

Here we have what looks like Cowboys Rushman Jack Crawford. He’s been seen rocking that flatbill before, only the coolest people in the world can fit that bill and Jack is certainly one of them.

This appears to be Zack Martin, although it’s difficult to recognize him without defensive linemen flying off of him.

What’s attributed so much to the success of the 2016 Cowboys has been their chemistry. This is a team with a foundation of brotherhood, and that’s evident even in these Snapchat screenshots.

The Cowboys are more than teammates, they’re a family. The fact that they’re spending the bye week hanging out and hooping/playing indoor golf is as fantastic news as their 5-1 start. These are our ‘Boys.

What do you make of the Cowboys spending Wednesday during the bye hanging out at Tony Romo’s house, just chilling? Let us know! Comment below, Email me at RJ@RJOchoaShow.com, or Tweet to me at @RJOchoa!

    • Me too! This is the kind of thing great teams do. They foster relationships out of brotherhood. I love it.

  1. Go cowboys, I can’t tell u how nice it is to have 2 great qb’s n not have to worry about tony getting hurt…wow

  2. Tony deserves to lead this team when healthy, if his body can’t hold up then we go back to dak and Tony maybe hang it up retire a cowboy

  3. Romo, on the side line in uniform as a Playing Coach. We would all regret it if he left Dallas in a wheelchair.

  4. Trade Romo? Just remember RG111 and Kap.Had great first years and after that what happened? So go ahead and we’ll how teams adjust to Daks ways of play next season or later this season! And if I may ask how well would Dak be playing if he we’re on the Bears or the Browns or any other team that didn’t have the O line we have and a defense that’s finally playing up to it potential. This is not just a one man show, the boys are finally playing like a true super bowl team!!! GO COWBOYS

  5. yea well that’s cool and all but we still need to NOT put romo back out there hes not willing to run or take a hit for his team anytime you pass on the 1 or 2 yard line you’re not willing to win at all cost. everyone else sacrifices for the team what makes him so different NOTHING coward football doesn’t live in Dallas anymore. we are tired of seeing him throw balls away because hes trying to pad stats for passing yards! Hey Miami needs a QB send him down there! Or Chicago

  6. I seem to remember that Tom Landry was a player/coach at New York before he became the 1st head coach for the Cowboys.

  7. Let Dak play until he messes up or more likely gets hurt. Do not bet against a hot shooter. Let it ride. The life expectancy of a QB in the NFL is not long so Tony is a very good insurance policy

  8. JJ is a true marketing – business man. 1) business first, 2) teams need, 3) the only owner, CEO, after each game JJ gives a press conference, 4) family. It’s been reported Romo can’t be traded by the deadline of Nov 4. Also, if JJ did trade Romo, this would add $5.million to the salary cap.

    Option A:
JJ has limited options with Romo, knowing the Intel on “how JJ neurons flex, JJ needs to bring trading value by playing Romo, show off his skill and talents, this way he can negotiate a #1 pick, (defensive pass rusher) and be compensated.
A true scenario to be evolved. A genuine business transaction TBA in the off season.

    Option B:
The boys win the Super Bowl in a few weeks. By using both QBs, Dak gets hurt in week 13, Romo steps in and wins out. JJ knows the reality of this scenario. The boys win the Super Bowl in 2017, and you keep the same players and repeat your success in 2018, back to back Super Bowl wins.

JJ needs to keep Romo, the team is solid, unstoppable, Super Bowl bound for the next 5 years.
This will rise the teams value from $5.billion to over $6-7.billion.
    JJ needs to keep Romo.

  9. I want Romo back in it, but you can’t argue the fact the fact right now that Prescott to go against Wentz isn’t gonna be an exciting game on the biggest stage in football let along prime time !
