Prior to the bye week, the Dallas Cowboys were absolutely dominating the league, as rookie quarterback Dak Prescott led them to wins in their last five games following a Week 1 loss to the Giants.
Now, Prescott and company will prepare for another divisional game at home, a new test for this young team against the Philadelphia Eagles. A positive sign for Dak Prescott is that his favorite target in Cole Beasley should be primed to pick up right where he left off in this game.

Ron Brooks, who has started this season in the slot for the Eagles, is now out for the season following his team’s win over the then-undefeated Vikings. With little depth to work with, Jim Schwartz will likely turn to safety Malcolm Jenkins to play down in the slot, a favorable match up for Beasley.
Cole will also benefit from the returned presence of Dez Bryant, who is ready to return to action for the first time in four games. Beasley has thrived on running quick underneath routes that branch off of deeper patterns from Bryant, Jason Witten, or even Terrance Williams.
It has been this aspect of the Cowboys offense, along with the rushing attack led by Ezekiel Elliott, that has led Scott Linehan’s unit to the top of the league in total first downs. Dak Prescott will have to prove that he still has the hot hand after a week off for the first-place Dallas Cowboys, and with the banged-up Eagles in town Prescott should be just fine – thanks to #11 and #88.
