Talking Dak Prescott, Tony Romo, And The Steelers With The Playmaker, Michael Irvin

RJ Ochoa

It’s been a busy week for the Dallas Cowboys.

America’s Team is 7-1, and Tony Romo has been medically cleared. Things are apparently a “coach’s decision” from this point on, but hasn’t everything been up to Jason Garrett at this point?

Coach Garrett has been totally in control this season whether it’s been from the moment Kellen Moore was hurt to the Dez Bryant MRI saga or to this. Everything has trickled on down from Jason Garrett.

Someone who knows Jason Garrett – and the Dallas Cowboys – extremely well is “The Playmaker” Michael Irvin. You don’t get into the Pro Football Hall of Fame like Michael Irvin (Class of 2007) without knowing the game incredibly well, and you don’t serve as one of the finer analysts every Sunday without that knowledge continuing (Michael Irvin works for NFL Network nowadays).

As the winner of ESPN San Antonio’s Rock The Mic contest this past summer I’ve had the good fortune of filling in when called upon. I’ve been on ESPN San Antonio’s The Blitz with Jason Minnix every day this week (we talked to Jason Garrett on Monday) and on Wednesday Michael Irvin called in for his weekly segment with The Blitz.

The Playmaker gave us his thoughts on Tony Romo, Dak Prescott, Dez Bryant, and the upcoming Cowboys game in Pittsburgh. In traditional Playmaker fashion he did it with some serious style throughout the ride.
