The intensity of an NFL season can sometimes blur whatever obstacles people are facing in their lives. We love to use football as a distraction, a way to get away from problems for a few hours each Sunday.
Today, the Cowboys took a step back to give kids at Medical City Children’s Hospital in Dallas a chance to “get away” from the ailments for a few hours, with the #CowboysGiveBack campaign.
Sporting Santa hats and gameday jerseys, the stars of the 11-1 Cowboys visited the hospital, and gave the children a chance to have some real fun.
This sweet @MedCityKids patient gave @DezBryant a bracelet that he promised to wear during a game! #CowboysGiveBack https://t.co/1wyhPDLL51

For all the videos and photos which came out of this great cause, the one linked above is definitely my favorite. People love to hate Dez Bryant. The national media and opposing fans reach for anything they can to paint Dez out to be a villain, or flat out a “bad guy.”
In this video, he certainly doesn’t seem like a bad guy whatsoever, as he promises to wear a bracelet which one of the patients gave to him today during a Cowboys game.
In the heat of a race for the number one seed, home field advantage, and eventually a Super Bowl trophy, the Cowboys still found a way to contribute to the bigger picture of life.
