The Dallas Cowboys are getting ready to play a football game on a Sunday for the second week in a row, this hasn’t happened since the week before Thanksgiving.
America’s Team will host the surging Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 15’s Sunday finale, a riveting contest on NBC’s Sunday Night Football. They’ll need to be fully-equipped as Tampa Bay is indeed surging, the last five games have all gone in favor of the Buccaneers.
Reinforcements seemingly arrived during Thursday’s practice for the Cowboys as Tyron Smith, Ronald Leary, and J.J. Wilcox all returned. This is fantastic news but it’s worth nothing that DeMarcus Lawrence, Cedric Thornton, and Orlando Scandrick were all missing from practice.

The 2016 season has really flipped things upside down in Cowboys Nation a la Eleven in Stranger Things as we have been counting down the days until J.J. Wilcox returns. The once-maligned safety has had an impressive season, and the fact that he’s practicing for the first time in three weeks certainly bodes well for his status on Sunday.
Tyron Smith and Ronald Leary are obviously necessary to the success that the Cowboys will hope to have on the ground with the NFL’s Leading Rusher, Ezekiel Elliott. When you want to do what Dallas does in the ground game, you need your big-time offensive linemen.
While it’s concerning that DeMarcus Lawrence is missing from practice, we all know that he’s been dealing with a back issue and Michelle Tafoya said during last week’s NBC call that when the Cowboys sense even the slightest disruption there they take it easy. Hopefully Cedric Thornton will bounce back from his ankle ailment as he’s really caught on as of late.
As always we’ll keep you updated with the status of these here at Inside The Star. Huzzah.
