Happy Holidays, Cowboys Nation. The Dallas Cowboys got back on track with a Sunday Night Football win over the Bucs, and everything feels right again at 12-2. Nobody was having as much fun on the field as Ezekiel Elliott Sunday, as his touchdown celebration – hurdling into the red Salvation Army kettle – received quite the reaction.
The most important effect it had was this though, as donations to the Salvation Army actually saw a significant spike with the publicity Elliott gave them –
Salvation Army reports $182K in online donations (61% increase) over 12.5 hours since Ezekiel Elliott's kettle dive, per @darrenrovell.

Elliott was not fined for this incredible celebration, but still plans on making his own donation to the Salvation Army on top of the great fans that have done so already.
Even though I will not be fined I still will be making a donation to the @SalvationArmyUS pic.twitter.com/AMJ1gSuse3

This season is the time for giving. The Space Cowboys gave Zeke room to run. He ran and hurdled over Buccaneers, all the way to the end zone – and then did one more hurdle that we’ll remember for a long time – all for an outstanding cause.

Remember when a dark cloud was supposed to be hanging over the Cowboys season? Yeah, I don’t. This 12-2 team is special, thanks to special young players like Ezekiel Elliott.
