NFC Fear Factor: Ranking Cowboys Potential Playoff Opponents

[tps_header]Every week when I do my Playoff Projection articles, I frame the conversation with what would be in the best interest of the Dallas Cowboys. Generally, this means wanting to avoid the teams that I think would give us the most trouble in a postseason game.

With just two weeks to go in the 2016 regular season, I thought I’d go through the realistic playoff hopefuls and rank them in order of how concerned I am about seeing them in January. We’re going to assume that all of these games would take place in Dallas, as the Cowboys are likely to secure home field advantage with a win in one of their next two games.[/tps_header]

While they gave Dallas a scare recently, Minnesota is trending downward more than any other team. I don’t expect them to even make the playoffs, but they have an outside shot with a 7-7 record and a remaining game against Green Bay.

I think a rematch with the Vikings, in Dallas, would go much better for the Cowboys than the first meeting.
