The Dallas Cowboys season has been an incredible journey. From owning the fourth overall pick just months ago, to sitting atop the NFC with a 13-3 record and a home playoff game ahead of them, absolutely no one could have seen this coming.
Despite no one knowing what was coming, plenty of people swore up and down that they knew exactly what the Cowboys would be. Well, this arrogance has produced some incredibly bad takes about America’s Team throughout the season. Before the Cowboys embark on their playoff journey, we at Inside The Star thought it would be worthwhile to take a look back at some of those horrific takes.
Let’s begin all the way back on draft day. With the fourth pick in the 2016 NFL Draft the Dallas Cowboys select, Ezekiel Elliott.
should have Ramsey and Henry. News Flash: Cowboys suck at the draft.

Just remember Cowboys took Zeke over Ramsey LMAO
— Benny The Philly Fan (64-37) (@PhillyProud12) September 18, 2016
Of course, an Eagles fan. But these are just fans, let’s see what the “experts” had to say!
If Alfred Morris keeps running like this people are going to seriously start questioning why the #Cowboys drafted Zeke and not Jalen Ramsey.

Oh but don’t worry these get better. In the fourth round the Cowboys select….
Jerry Jones is covering backside by regretting not landing Paxton Lynch? He should be more worried about taking Dak Prescott over Cardale.
— Skip Bayless (@RealSkipBayless) May 2, 2016
Dak Prescott is a back up in NFL. At tight end.
— Colin Cowherd (@colincowherd) November 15, 2014
Okay, that one is from 2014 and was tweeted as Dak Prescott’s Mississippi State Bulldogs fell to Alabama by just 5 points. Dak had a rough game, throwing three interceptions, bringing on this abysmal Colin Cowherd tweet. Ironically, his three interceptions in that game is only one less than Dak has throw the entire 2016 season.
Even Inside The Star Staff Writers aren’t safe! Don’t worry, the cold Zeke takes continue. After a tough home loss to the Giants and a gutsy win at Washington, some of you wanted Alfred Morris to see more carries.
Let’s flashback a little further than week two. When Romo went down, hell broke loose, and the sky was falling on the Cowboys.
Romo out 6-10? See ya, Dallas.
— Pete Prisco (@PriscoCBS) August 27, 2016
But when Romo returned, we got some even better takes.
oh I have zero doubt they plan on inserting Romo.
— Joey Ickes (@JoeyIckes) November 2, 2016
Why not explore what the return of another Cowboys star brought to the internet?
With all the chatter about how Romo could mess up a good thing in Dallas with Dak, don't be shocked if the return of Dez could do same.
— Linda Cohn (@lindacohn) October 27, 2016
NOW on @undisputed: why the Cowboys need to trade both Dez and Romo
— Skip Bayless (@RealSkipBayless) October 21, 2016
Ah, the “TRADE DEZ” phenomenon. People really like to be loud and wrong, huh? But at the end of the day, I had the single worst take of them all.

What an idiot that Kevin Brady guy is. Anyway, thankfully all of us, including me, were very wrong about what the Cowboys could be this season. Now, it is time to focus on the playoffs, and more opportunities to prove us gasbag media members wrong. Let’s go Cowboys.
