The Dallas Cowboys have their work cut out for them once the 2017 free agency starts a day from now (March 9). I thought it would be an excellent time to break down the Cowboys to-do list, especially considering the fact they have quite a few holes they need to fill in order to enter the 2017 NFL Draft without any glaring needs.
I hope you’re not getting too excited, because we will likely see yet another boring off-season for the Cowboys. I’m pretty positive that the Cowboys brass will once again let the free agent market kind of settle before even entertaining the idea of making a play for anyone. Of course, the entire Tony Romo situation makes the 2017 free agency a little more entertaining to pay attention to, but no one really knows yet how that will turn out.
The Cowboys will undoubtedly shop the bargain bin for their free agents since their entire salary-cap situation doesn’t allow the much wiggle room. But, that could all change if they decide to move some money around by restructuring a few contracts.

It’s gonna be kinda hard to trade Romo , what team in their right mind would trade anything for a old fragile qb. Release him and get it over with already !!! It’s not like he’s going to any threats in the NFC We can use that money for Defense. Speaking of Defense that should be the ONLY focus of the off-season , resign back who you can and Draft heavy on the defensive side of the ball BUT if a playmaker TE or WR is available high in the draft you take him but other than that the off season should be simple but effective Don’t waste a good team because you won’t put together the necessary pieces on defense I feel like its the same story going into EVERY off-season DEFENSE WINS CHAMPIONSHIPS Not tryna out score everybody and playing keep away
