Life in the NFL is a crazy one in the year 2017. I know that I’ve personally spent many hours browsing the Twitter profiles of certain players, trying to find a clue that’ll lead to where they ultimately land.
Sometimes the work is done for you with an obvious piece of information, and maybe that’s the latest development in the case of Tony Romo.
Did he just use an Instagram video of his son to send a message to the Cowboys?!

The video starts and plays in its entirety with Hawkins Romo, who turns five this April, as the featured star.
Here is a transcription of it:
“Ok… deal? Pinky promise? Pinky promise!” -Hawkins
“What am I pinky-promising?” -Tony
“That deal! Ok? You’re gonna do it, ok? Pinky promise!” -Hawkins
“Is it good?” -Tony
“Uhuh. It’s good. It’s a good deal for me. It’s better for me ok, Dad? It’s not for you, it’s for me.” -Hawkins
“Why would I take the deal then if it’s better for you?” -Tony
WHOAAA.
This is some serious potential fire coming from Hawkins Romo, who was actually the co-star of Tony’s first Instagram video.
Hawk is over here telling Tony to not only take a deal but to PINKY PROMISE… and all of us have spent enough time around schoolyards to know that you never go back on a pinky promise.
Could this be absolutely nothing? Sure.
Maybe this is just a matter of Hawkins being upset about being put to bed… in the middle of the afternoon.
What? Yea, that’s what Tony is selling this as!
The caption reads: I told him it was bed time and he said “let’s talk about that.” He told me he has a deal for me. Hhhhmmm
HMMM indeed, Tony.
We’ve all seen Romo evade defenders with his can’t-replicate magic, who’s to say that Tony can’t put the same level of creativity into his online disses?
After all, it has been nine — and I might add poetic — days since the Cowboys reportedly told Tony Romo that they would release him, and it’s been eight days since Free Agency officially began.
If you subscribe to the theory that this is indeed some insanely genius way of sending a message to the Cowboys and their brain trust, then what is the deal that Romo is avoiding?
Is there a trade in the works?
Does he have to restructure his contract?
Is it a team that he doesn’t wish to play for?
TELL US HAWKINS, YOU HOLD ALL THE ANSWERS!
We’ll have you updated on the situation, assuming it’s real, here at Inside The Star. Have a fantastic weekend.
This is fucking bullshit not only should romo still be the starter but now that they have screwed him over you not gonna show the QB with the 4th overall QB rating in NFL history enough respect to let him move on from your screwing I am and always will be a cowboys fan but jerry jones your a real sack of shit for doing this to him he deserves more than this and where ever he goes he will win a Super Bowl before our now cowboys
Nothing against dak he is great but last year romo should have taken back over as starter period and for the beating that romo took for this team he has had a few good players help but overall had it not been for romo thorowing the ball 60 times a game Dallas would have been the worst team in the NFL ever year at the end for all those oh romo sucks your fuck??? Idiots NO Dfense no recievers no running back until dak and for him to have those numbers shows that why he didn’t have a ring and the same reason dak won’t they just let the only good players on Dfense go and Elliot will be suspended for at least 8 games next year anyway see YA JERRY YOU SUCK BEYOND SUCKING AND THAT WILL BE YPUR LEGACY HOW SHITTY YOU DO PEOPLE
A bro DAK is better then romo get over it we are moving on from him Dak beat tom Brady’s rookie record in interceptions bro he was a bad ass QB and is only gonna get better. Dak I’m with you bro get us a ring
To say Romo deserved to start over Dak is BS. First of all, Why would you ruin the confidence of a rookie just to get Romo back on the field. Give me a break. Dak did all he could to win for Dallas. I highly doubt Romo could have done any more than Dak did.
I hope tony reads these comments sometimes and reads this. Tony has a beutiful family. He is seeing what he will miss going into another season. Dont miss out on your kids growing up. He has been a great qb very underappreciated but is one or two more years worth it. He alreadt has a bad back. He gets hit the wrong way and when its time for him to be throwing his kids the ball and playing with them he could be too hurt or on pain pills. Tony needs to retire a cowboy or back dak up. He cant keep taking these chances.
I can’t understand for the life of me why Romo didnt play last year when he was healthy and I can’t understand why Jerry doesn’t sit Dak the next 2 years and start Romo he’s a better QB, Dak still has some learning to do and to be honest Dak can’t move the ball down field. I watched every game last year and every time Dak had trouble moving the ball Elliott wasn’t running good. I think just about any QB in the league could have had the same record Dak did behind that offensive line with Elliott running like that. Why hasn’t anyone seen this. Brady got hurt his replacement young gun came out and won for him but when Brady was healthy Brady gets his job back and they win they are the champs. Why one word experience. If Romo would have played we would have made the Super Bowl. Maybe we win maybe we lose but we would have gone to the big game and we would have done it by doing right by a man who literally put his life on the line to win games for us. I would like to say thanks Romo and it’s a shame to see you treated this way. Jerry has no Honor. I think winning is important but how you win is just as important. Can’t stand listen Jerry did Troy wrong a long time ago and Cowboys haven’t won since. This was there chance to do the write thing by Romo and make things write again but they failed screwed Romo over just like Troy and now they will be punished another 20 years with no big wins it’s Karma Nature’s way. Just saying Patriots did right by Brady and look what happend, colts screwed over Manning and look what happened Denver picked him up and a couple of Super bowls. Jerry should keep Romo and sit Dak and watch the magic happen
the magic happened this year-a rookie winning 11 in a row. Romo’s time has passed. it is what it is.
