LOOK: Anthony Brown Has A “Chip” On His Shoulder

The 2016 Dallas Cowboys Draft Class is one that might someday challenge as the best in Franchise History. Of course, the 1975 class, aka The Dirty Dozen, might have something to say about that… especially when they find out about a certain detail concerning Cornerback Anthony Brown. While it was Ezekiel Elliott and Dak Prescott that stole the show, young Anthony played admirably throughout his rookie season. As a sixth round pick he obviously has a lot of motivation to do well, and apparently he has a reminder of it in the form of a tattoo on his shoulder.

Anthony Brown has a potato chip tattooed on his shoulder. I can’t believe I had to say that.

This isn’t exaggerating, it’s not hyperbole, it isn’t reading too much into anything… this man has an actual potato chip permanently inked onto his shoulder. Why, you ask? Anthony Brown plays with “a chip on his shoulder”… literally. I am without words.

Maybe Anthony Brown could have exhibited the great technique he does on the field and tried to quickly back-step out of this by simply saying he’s a huge fan of the salty treats, but the “189” marked below the potato chip (I keep having to say it!) is a dead giveaway that this is without a doubt a reference to his draft position.

You see Anthony Brown was taken in the sixth round of the 2016 NFL Draft… at #189 Overall. The chip is symbolic, people! The chip represents more! In Survivor fire represents your life, well in the NFL chips represent your motivation!

Here’s the thing though, Anthony Brown. I can sort of understand the literal message that you’re going for here, but if you’re going to literally permanently mark yourself with a chip there are far better ways to do it. Here are my official Chip Power Rankings:

  1. Sour Cream & Onion
  2. Jalapeno
  3. Tortilla
  4. Chocolate
  5. CHiPs
  6. Micro
  7. Ruffled
  8. Kettle
  9. Potato in general
  10. Kelly

The other thing about this tattoo is that Anthony Brown went with ruffled, #7 on RJ Ochoa’s official Chip Power Rankings, on this tattoo. Can you imagine how painful that must have been for the tattoo artist to get all of the lines in?!

Thank goodness Anthony Brown’s skills as an NFL cornerback transcend his abilities to choose tattoos practically. Do you, AB. Help us win a Champion-chip.

  1. Hopefully, the Cowboys will draft more players with chips on their shoulders, like Brown and Dak, etc. I smell Minneapolis in the air, @ the Star!!
