Day one of the 2017 NFL Draft is in the books, with the Dallas Cowboys selecting Michigan defensive end Taco Charlton with their first round pick.
The pick has received some mixed reaction. Some, excited to add a long and strong defensive end and others wishing they had drafted a more explosive edge rusher. However you feel, the pick is the pick, and the Cowboys must move on to day two, and make the necessary draft picks from here on out.
The Cowboys next selection will be 60th overall in the second round. Here are a few players to keep an eye on as the time ticks towards the Cowboys turn to draft.
Fabian Moreau, CB, UCLA

There is some belief that given how the board fell last night, if Fabian Moreau had been healthy, he’d have been the pick.
But, because of his shoulder injury he has fallen into day two, and could be a late-second round steal for the Cowboys.
Moreau is an athletic but raw cornerback in terms of his technique, mostly due to converting from running back. Still, he was good enough to earn a late first/early second round grade on our draft board. If he falls to 60, don’t be surprised to see Fabian Moreau drafted to the Dallas Cowboys tonight.
Kevin King, CB, Washington
This is a bit of a pipe dream, to be honest.
Kevin King had a legitimate shot at being the Cowboys’ first round pick last night, and many would argue that he should have been. The incredibly long and athletically gifted corner has to better his stance and technique a bit, but is clearly a sticky cover guy who can go up and make plays.
If, by some lucky chance, King falls to 60, I doubt the Cowboys will even think twice before drafting him to be their CB1 of the future. There is also a slight chance that they could move up to secure Kevin King if they feel it is necessary.
Teez Tabor, CB, Florida

If it weren’t for a poor showing at the combine, Florida cornerback Teez Tabor would easily have been a first round pick.
What does this mean?
It means Tabor has first round film, no matter how you slice it. His play speed and coverage abilities are top 5 in this class, and give him a real shot at being the Cowboys second round pick tonight.
Despite his poor combine showing and 4.7 40 yard dash at his pro day, Tabor is still worthy of a second round pick in my opinion. His scheme fit in Dallas would be perfect, and he would fill a position of dire need for the Cowboys.
Many Other Options…
The Cowboys may have the pick of litter of defensive backs at 60th overall. Not only would each of the previous three corners mentioned be great picks, so would others like Florida’s Quincy Wilson, Utah’s Marcus Williams, and maybe Colorado’s Chidobe Awuzie.
It is also possible the Cowboys shock us once again, and draft an offensive playmaker like USC wide-out Juju Smith-Schuster or Ohio State running back Curtis Samuel.
No matter what they decide to do, the board has fallen in the Cowboys’ favor for day two, with many quality defensive backs remaining on the board.
