Cowboys Shopping CB Orlando Scandrick After Drafting Chidobe Awuzie

The Dallas Cowboys added another starter to their defense with the 60th overall pick, drafting Colorado CB Chidobe Awuzie. An instinctive cornerback that can start right away for a Dallas team thin on defensive backs, Awuzie’s addition has apparently led the Cowboys to consider moving on from one of their defensive veterans in Orlando Scandrick.

The third round of the 2017 NFL Draft is in progress, and a pick in this round to land more young talent is reportedly the Cowboys asking price.

Scandrick would still project as a starter along with Nolan Carroll, Anthony Brown, and Awuzie at CB for the Cowboys. With Scandrick under contract through 2019, coming off of a major injury, and preparing to play at 30 years old in 2017 the Cowboys could be smart to at least gauge interest around the league in his services.

As of now, the Cowboys are in a great position to sit home at pick #92 and continue to find talent or make a move around one of their veteran leaders in Orlando Scandrick.
