As the 2017 NFL Draft has come to a close, a different part of preparation for the upcoming season begins. Members of Cowboys Nation now know who their new toys are, and we want to figure out exactly who they are and how we’re going to play with them. Taco Charlton, DE, Michigan – 1st Round, 28th Overall

When you’re a First Round Draft Pick, things are pretty top of the line all the way around. You can see, and hear, that everyone is ecstatic with this pick. Taco Charlton gives Dallas immediate help as an edge rusher, and he fits the right-kind-of-guy mold perfectly.
Chidobe Awuzie, CB, Colorado – 2nd Round, 60th Overall

When the Cowboys let both Brandon Carr and Morris Claiborne walk in Free Agency, people started to panic. Orlando Scandrick – who was apparently shopped around during the Draft – and Anthony Brown are great, but they can’t go at it alone. They don’t have to anymore, and Chidobe is obviously excited to be part of the reason why.
Jourdan Lewis, CB, Michigan – 3rd Round, 92nd Overall

Did I say that Orlando Scandrick and Anthony Brown don’t have to go at it alone anymore? Well add Chidobe Awuzie to that list! The Cowboys chose one of the Draft’s premier cornerbacks, albeit a bit of a risky pick with Lewis’ Domestic Violence situation up in the air, to give them two sets of fresh legs in the secondary.
Ryan Switzer, WR, North Carolina – 4th Round, 133rd Overall

It is going to be so fun to watch opposing defenses try and stop both Cole Beasley AND Ryan Switzer. “Switzerland” as I have affectionately nicknamed him, is more than just an amazing wide receiver… he believes he’s the best return man in the Draft. This might be fans’ favorite call as Ryan was both shocked and humbled.
Marquez White, CB, Florida State – 6th Round, 216th Overall

No one is ever going to be alone in the secondary again! With three rookies at cornerback the Dallas Cowboys are in prime position to develop quite a group over the next few seasons. The best part about Marquez’s call is that he asks Jerry Jones to say that he’s a Cowboy one more time, so that his family can hear it. Say it again, Jerry!
Joey Ivie, DT, Florida – 7th Round, 228th Overall

Rod Marinelli wasn’t going to leave the 2017 NFL Draft without multiple rushmen to work with, and Joey Ivie is part of the new crew. These Draft calls never get old, and Joey Ivie is a good reminder of that as he stays excited from start to finish.
Noah Brown, WR, Ohio State – 7th Round, 239th Overall

444 days before he was drafted by the Dallas Cowboys, Noah Brown shared a photo of Dez Bryant on his personal Instagram account… so it’s safe to say he’s fairly excited about his new teammate. That same level of excitement is apparent in his phone call with Coach Garrett, and how cool is it that Ezekiel Elliott has been lobbying for him?!

Add one more rusher to Rod Marinelli’s stable, please! With their final pick in the 2017 NFL Draft the Cowboys took Jordan Carrell, and you can tell that Jordan is grateful for it. Most players are enthused to join America’s Team, and Carrell certainly is no different.
