In Memoriam…

John Williams

Sacrifice comes in many forms and in many ways. We throw the term around when we talk about dieting or trying to save money. We talk about it in sports; “sacrifice bunt,” “sacrifice the body.” But the term has much more significance to the families of those who have sacrificed their lives in the defense of the United States of America, and in the defense of liberty and justice around the world.

Our armed servicemen and women sacrificed so that our Constitution would be defended. They sacrificed for the safety and security of our allies. They sacrificed to stop the spread of political ideologies. They sacrificed to hunt down extremism that is opposed to the freedom and liberty that we enjoy in the United States.

They have fought and died in battles and wars that were both popular and unpopular.

They went where they were directed.

When it made sense to go and sometimes when it didn’t.

Some volunteered, some were drafted, but the sacrifice is the same.

The freedom and liberty of being a Citizen of the United States is only possible because we have been so fortunate to have men and women willing to put their lives on the line for us, for you and for me.

There are countless number of people who have given their lives in defense of the USA since it’s foundation, and today we honor and remember those lives.

Amidst all of our festivities and family time today, let us not forget the willingness of those men and women to die so that our freedoms may live on.

On Memorial Day, all of us at InsideTheStar.com would like to express our deepest appreciation for the men and women, and to their families, who have paid the ultimate price in the defense of the United States of America.

The United States is the Land of the Free” because it is the home of the brave.”

Thank you to the brave ones who were willing to put their lives on the line to keep the United States the “Land of the Free.”
