This is a developing story with many details not yet known. Not comment has yet been made by Wilson, the Cowboys, or the league office.
Damien Wilson is entering his third year with the Cowboys. A fourth-round pick in 2015, Wilson had emerged as the starting SAM linebacker last year and was projected to keep that job next season.
If this arrest prevents Wilson from playing in 2017, Anthony Hitchens is most likely to take his place. Veteran Kyle Wilber also has starting experience as the strong-side linebacker.
