DeMarcus Ware to Tony Romo ‘Put up or Shut up’

As you all know by now Tony Romo signed a rather comfy contract exactly a week ago.Ware&Romo

Now, since then there has been a constant debate on whether Romo deserved the $17 million a year contract.

The deal has faced some criticism due to the fact the Cowboys have less than excelled with Romo as QB.

Dallas Cowboys linebacker DeMarcus Ware, spoke out on Sirius XM NFL about the quarterbacks contract extension.

“I feel like everybody is deserving to whatever is given to him, but at the end of the day, to me its time to put up, or shut up” Ware said on the satellite radio show.

“I’m just being straight-up honest with you. Get out there and be productive, and that’s with any player. Whatever they get, they’re deserving of it. You just got to get out there and play and I know he can be and will be the quarterback that is going to be the quarterback that is going to take us to the next level.”

The linebacker also spoke about the change of defensive coordinators.

“I think this is my fifth defensive coordinator. All of them (have) been good. Rob was a great coach and had a great philosophy and it was really good. I hate that they had to lose them but you’ve got a Monte Kiffin coming in. It’s a 4-3. It’s maybe a little bit more simpler for guys. I just have one job now, getting to the quarterback. Holding the edge is still the same like the 3-4, but the cornerbacks can be a little bit more diverse in knowing what’s going and maybe being a little bit more aggressive can create a little bit more productivity.”

Finally he gave his overall opinion on the offseason moves the Cowboys have done so far.

“Me being a player, you can’t always be satisfied with anything. I feel like there’s always room for improvement, wherever it is, but at the end of the day, when it’s time to work it’s time to work. And you’ve got to work with what you’ve got.”

    • Yes. Because that last game against Washington was horrible. I know he was hurt but he played horribly!
