BUZZ: Philadelphia Eagles Let Their Star WR Jackson Fly Away

Brian Leatherman

After a few weeks of speculation the Eagles let Pro Bowl WR DeSean Jackson become a free agent on Friday afternoon. Reports coming out of Philadelphia are saying the reason the team let him go had nothing to do with money and the fact Jackson wanted to redo his current contract. Many reports are swirling around that Jackson is involved with gangs in California and that looks to be the biggest reason why the Eagles let him go.

With the Arron Hernandez situation still very fresh in the minds of the entire NFL, the Eagles did not want any part of something like that. This should put all NFL gang-members on notice – The league isn’t going to put up with it.

There’s also a lot of speculation that Jackson could replace Miles Austin in Big D. Jerry has never been afraid to evaluate a player with off-the-field issues before.
