We don’t know yet if La’el Collins will play this Sunday, but it’s looking doubtful. If he does then that’s obviously huge boost to the depth of the 2016 squad.

Guys like Frederick, Martin, and Leary are now seasoned veterans compared to two years ago. Tyron is still one of the league’s elite left tackles, even while battling some injuries. The only downside is Doug Free, who is declining and has been especially struggling during the later part of the regular season. Still, overall this starting unitĀ is stronger than ever.

One plus for 2014 is in the backups. Bernadeau was starting-quality player and inspires more confidence than Looney. Parnell had much more experience than Cleary as the swing tackle. It’s not enough to take the advantage fromĀ the 2016 team, but it’s worth mentioning.
