[tps_title]Dez Bryant: Omar Little[/tps_title]
This is probably the most fun comparison of them all to me.
Omar and Dez Bryant have a ton in common. The two most clear similarities come with their attitudes and reputations. Both are feared and respected by everyone in the game, and both will do anything in their power to protect those around them.
Sometimes, the way in which they go about accomplishing their truly good goals looks, well, bad. Whether Omar is killing or Dez is being “demonstrative” on the sideline, outsiders will sometimes question their actions.
But those around Omar and Dez, who actually know what is in their hearts and minds, are able to see that the end goal of their actions is always positive.
Most of Omar’s violence in the show is in response to the killing of someone close to him. He looks for both the Barksdales and Marlo out of revenge. He would’ve been perfectly fine just stealing their money, but they had to go and make it personal, and they did so in disrespectful and ugly ways.
Dez just wants to win. He is an ultra competitive person who wants to come out on top in everything he does, and he strives to make the team better with all of his actions.
After all, “a man gotta have a code.”
Nicely written. Good job!
I love this so much. Great work, Kevin! A few more that I'd throw in there… Jason Garrett = Cedric Daniels (Straight-laced leaders who want to do things the right way.) Cole Beasley = Kima Greggs (Overcomes the physical odds to hang with the big boys.) Dan Bailey = Prop Joe (Never gets rattled.) Scandrick/Carr/Claiborne = Herc/Carver/Prezbo (Some major liability issues.) Some non-Cowboys, too…. Chip Kelly = Bunny Colvin (Disgraced after a failed experiment.) Eli Manning = Dukie (self-explanatory) Roger Goodell = Clay Davs (Everything that comes out of their mouth is "Sheeeeeeiiiiiiiiiiit.")
