In an ongoing story giving Cowboys fans mental and emotional whiplash, Ezekiel Elliott won his request for an immediate stay of his six-game suspension pending further legal action. The U.S. Second Circuit Court, which will hear his appeal at a later date, awarded this stay and will enable Elliott to play this Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs.

The court’s decision, while not explained, likely is based on the idea of “irreparable harm” that Zeke would suffer if he has to miss games before his appeal is heard. While Judge Failla dismissed the validity of this argument in the last hearing, several other judges involved have agreed with Elliott’s team.
We’ll be right back in this mud hole next week trying to figure out his availability for the Falcons game, but for now we can only celebrate Zeke being on the field this Sunday to welcome the Chiefs.
