There are officially 95 days until the toe meets the ball at AT&T Stadium where the Dallas Cowboys will host the New York Giants on NBC’s Sunday Night Football.
During last night’s Game 3 of the NBA Finals the Quicken Loans Arena played one of the greatest songs of all time, Europe’s “The Final Countdown.” They’re obviously counting along with us down to the NFL season, although I don’t think anybody wears 95 for the Cavaliers.
That’s just what we’re here to discuss, though, the baddest dude to put on the 9-5 for America’s Team.

There is no competition today. The Greatest 95 in Dallas Cowboys history started his professional journey after serving his country in the Gulf War in the United States Air Force.
Chad Hennings was one of Tex Schramm’s final acts of brilliance as Schramm took him in the 11th round of the 1988 NFL Draft out of the United States Air Force.
Hennings has a very similar story to Roger Staubach in that he had to fulfill his military commitment before ever suiting up for the Cowboys. After four years of Air Force duty, Hennings began to play as a 27-year-old rookie.
Hennings is an American hero and an American badass.
He put together what is by far the greatest statistical season as a 95, with just about twice as many sacks as all the others combined, but it was his presence on the Cowboys dynasty of the 90s that catapults him to the top.
Chad brought a level of leadership and tenacity to the Cowboys’ defense that made you want to run through a wall for him.
Chad’s leadership is so strong and so present that he has twice been awarded the Air Force Achievement Medal and was named a Captain in June of 1992.
He was an American hero playing for America’s Team, and he is one of the more underrated Dallas Cowboys of all time.
