Indianapolis Colts General Manager Ryan Grigson went out of his way at the podium during the NFL Combine to defend his 8-8 football team, which played 9 games without Andrew Luck this season but still missed the playoffs, by apparently taking comfort in the fact they were better than the 4-12 Dallas Cowboys, who played 12 games without Tony Romo – and all of their games as a NFC team, as far away from the Colts as possible.
“There were a lot of other teams in the league where their quarterback went down and had a better perceived offensive line and all those types of things that are picking real high in the draft”
Yes, Mr. Grigson, we are picking very high in this draft, and by the looks of it are using this Combine to ensure that we take full advantage of the fourth overall pick in making our team better. After all, that is what the Combine should ultimately be about. This should be a time where all teams can settle any differences and agree that the job is to find talent on the field.
A wave of players have went to the podium and mentioned meetings with the Dallas Cowboys, which is an exciting start to Will McClay and company’s draft process.

These two teams will not play each other in 2016, but I’m sure Jason Garrett along with the rest of the organization is not losing any sleep over these comments.
