Shane painted quite the dreary picture yesterday, yet his argument was valid. I will not lie to you, it will take a modern miracle for the Dallas Cowboys to make the playoffs.
But….
It’s still possible. If the Cowboys can manage to defeat the Buccaneers, the possibilities are endless. The Eagles, Giants, and Redskins could all lose this week, none have a game where they are expected to have an easy day on the field.
With Tony Romo’s return eminent, his presence could be enough to lead this team to running the table.
It is possible.
His absence has done nothing but show how special a Quarterback he has become. With all the pressure on his shoulders, he could lead the Cowboys into the playoffs.
Yet, it all begins on Sunday. There is enough talent on this team to win, have they played well enough? Not at all. Is the present team good enough to at least win one game?
Of course they are.
The NFC East is a terrible division, I don’t expect the Giants to get on a streak. Let’s be honest, that team isn’t very good at full strength.
Eagles? They can’t begin to spell consistency, it took Sam Bradford playing one of his best games as a pro to narrowly defeat a Romo-less Cowboys. They also aren’t very good.
Redskins? They will be fortunate to have four wins by the end of the season.
8-8 could very well win the division. With a healthy Tony Romo, that is a record well within the bounds of reality.
Keep your heads up Cowboys Nation.
This article makes me laugh!
It’s based on fact, taking in account the probability the Eagles and Giants could falter. It wasn’t that long ago that 7-9 won a division. It’s happened several times in recent memory.
So, there’s nothing to really laugh at aside from poor retorts :).
