After suffering an Achilles tear early on in 2015, Cameron Wake missed much of the season including the matchup with the Cowboys. For that reason, we were robbed of the opportunity to watch right tackle Doug Free work against another Pro-Bowl caliber rusher in Wake.
While the Cowboys offensive line is often hailed as a unit, Doug Free tends to catch a lot of heat from fans and critics. Yes, Free may be the “weakest” part of this five-man wrecking crew, but he is still a very good football player. Free is one of the better right tackles in the league, and the opportunity to go against Cameron Wake will not be taken lightly.
Both Free and Wake can use each other as “measuring sticks” of sorts to gauge where they are in their preparation for game one of the 2016 season.
