Dallas Cowboys 2016 Draft Order: Week 13 Update

Sean Martin

With last night’s win, the Cowboys are just a game back of first place in the NFC East at 4-8. They also currently hold a top 10 pick in the upcoming NFL Draft.

If the season ended today, the Cowboys would hold the sixth overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft.

This is two spots down from last week’s theoretical pick. Picking ahead of the Cowboys would be the Browns, Titans, Chargers, Ravens, and Jaguars. As was the case last week, only one team ahead of Dallas seemingly needs a quarterback – the Cleveland Browns.

That is if they don’t like what they see out of Johnny Manziel – who reportedly will start against the 49ers for Cleveland this week.

The Cowboys have selected sixth overall twice in their history, most recently in 2012 when they traded up to the pick to draft Morris Claiborne. They also selected Lee Roy Jordan sixth overall in 1963.

Claiborne is also the last player the Cowboys have selected in the top ten.

Through 13 weeks, the Cowboys seem to be in a “best of both worlds” position – with a fighting chance at the division and high draft pick all still in play. Share your thoughts on the draft, or the Cowboys NFC East chances, with a comment below!
