DeAngelo Williams wants you to find him relevant – please find him to be relevant!
The veteran running back had quite the season in 2015 as he made his Pittsburgh Steelers debut. He played very well in the absence of Le’Veon Bell, but still – find him relevant!
How do I know that DeAngelo Williams is desperate for your attention? I have Twitter.
Almost a week ago DeAngelo was firing off some hot takes in the form of 140 character limit shaped cookies, and new Cowboys ballcarrier Alfred Morris jumped in. After a brief exchange, Williams realized that “The Butler” traded in those nasty Redskin colors for the iconic blue and silver this offseason.
Bro u in Dallas now ???????? when did this happen https://t.co/diyuoLectD

You’re probably wondering why I’m all huffed and puffed about DeAngelo simply forgetting that Alfred is a member of the greatest football team in the world. You’ll understand soon, my friend. Soon as in right now.
U got a good line there u should be good man and some nice vets but short handed on the defensive side huh???? https://t.co/00QIX5adI7

DeAngelo is throwing punches at the Cowboys defense! He’s most likely referring to the recent suspension of Rolando McClain and re-affirmed one for DeMarcus Lawrence (not to mention Randy Gregory, yay!). For what it’s worth Williams will get his chance to show just how “short handed” the Cowboys defense is when the Cowboys and Steelers square off on November 13th.
Did Deangelo forget that the primary tailback in Pittsburgh, you know the one he backs up, was suspended for a similar infraction a year ago?
Probably not.
Maybe we should remind DeAngelo of that, and some other facts:
2012-2015 | Games Missed Due To Injury | Yards | Touchdowns |
Alfred Morris | 0 | 4,713 | 29 |
DeAngelo Williams | 11 | 2,706 | 19 |
It would seem that DeAngelo has quite the reason to be salty towards Alfred, doesn’t he? Could this whole thing be Williams lashing out because Alfred has seriously trumped him as long as The Butler’s been in the league?
Or maaaaybe DeAngelo just has a problem with the Cowboys, you know as in a problem having success against them.
