Dez Bryant: Foot, Ankle Surgery Ahead, Placed on IR

Sean Martin

When Dez Bryant signed his mega-contract this offseason, this was not the first year we had in mind. Ever since the week 1 win over the Giants, Bryant has been struggling with a foot injury that kept him out of five games before returning against the Seahawks and never making much of an impact.

Of course, it didn’t help that Bryant only got to play three games with Tony Romo as his quarterback – two of which were not nearly full games. Bryant saw just 49 snaps in week 1 against New York, and Romo went down again on Thanksgiving against Carolina.

It’s been some time now since the Cowboys 2015 campaign has officially fallen off the rails, but this move all but seals the deal. Let’s hope Dez can get ready for 2016 as quick as he can, and be ready to throw up the X with Tony Romo for a full 16 games.
