BUY Julio Jones
Julio has posted a 4/68/0 and 5/56/0 stat line the past two weeks and hasn’t scored a TD since week 3, however he is still one of the leagues best wide outs and has huge potential to put up big numbers if the Falcons’ offense can just get things together. I’m sending the owner an offer and trying to buy low before he has a big game, which he is due for.
BUY Jimmy Graham
Struggling with a shoulder injury, Graham didn’t post a point this past week and hasn’t scored a TD since week 4. That being said, he is still a top talent and monster red zone threat. If the owner in your league is interested in moving him I’d certainly pounce. If you’re trying to build a championship team Graham can certainly help you do that.
BUY Eric Decker
Decker is coming off a quiet game facing Darrelle Revis and has been battling hamstring issues. He looks to be healthy now though, plus has 10 days to rest and QB Geno Smith just had his best showing of the season. The Jets also just acquired WR Percy Harvin who should take some attention off Decker. I think he’ll be a very solid WR2 going forward with the progression of Smith and the things Harvin can do to open up the passing game. I’d be willing to give up a couple of flex caliber players for Decker.
BUY Brian Quick
In Quick’s past two games combined he’s had 3 receptions for 43 yards and no TDs, but before that he was pretty consistent. Quick is still Austin Davis’ best receiver, it just looks like the 49ers and Seahawks made it a point to shut him down. I’d definitely try to buy low on him now as he should be a nice flex in a lot of games going forward.
BUY Keenan Allen
This is a very buy low, as an Allen owner in multiple leagues I can tell you it’s very frustrating owning him. Allen still has 52 targets through 7 games though so it’s not like they aren’t looking his way, he just hasn’t made it into the end zone yet. I’ve gotten to the point where I’m not starting him until he shows me something, but I also feel he’s due for a big game. If you can get him for a player you’re not using he’s certainly someone with potential that can pay dividends.
SELL Shane Vereen
Now yes, you may think I’m crazy saying you should sell Vereen with Stevan Ridley out for season and after he ran 11/43/0 and had a receiving stat line of 5/71/2 last week, but to give you some prospective; Branden Oliver put up 19/114/1 and 4/68/1 just two weeks earlier on the Jets. Vereen’s value is sky-high so if you can package him and get yourself a RB1 or WR1, I’d certainly do it.
SELL Torrey Smith
Smith just posted his two best games of the season with 4/51/2 and 3/81/1, but for one they came against horrible defenses in the Bucs and Falcons and two, his 4 catch game was the most receptions he’s recorded all year. He’s simply not getting targeted enough to trust him week to week, I’m definitely using him as trade bait this week.
SELL Monte Ball
If you can find someone who still thinks Ball has a chance to regain Denver’s starting job when he is healthy, (I don’t) I’d definitely get what I can from them. Ball is expected to return next week, but after the job Ronnie Hillman has done, Ball should become the backup. He will most likely be a droppable player very soon so get what you can while you can.
SELL Brandon LaFell
LaFell is a boom or bust player that relies on deep plays to have a good fantasy week. If you can find a WR needy team that likes him send them an offer and see if you can land a steadier player.
SELL Denard Robinson
Robinson just had a very nice game in his first chance as Jacksonville’s primary RB, running 22 times for 127 yards and a score, however, it was against Cleveland’s weak rush defense. I do like Robinson’s talent and wouldn’t try to move him for just anything, as it looks like he should be the starter going forward, but a lot of people tend to get overly excited for players like this so if you find someone who really likes him and can land a solid starter, I would definitely deal him. Jacksonville still has one of the worst offensive lines in football so it’s going to be tough for Robinson when he faces tougher defenses.
Picked up Decker last night after releasing him a couple of weeks ago, and have held on to Quick since Dallas played him – he performs better than HOU’s Andre Johnson.
