These are guys that should be owned in 10-12 team leagues.
Andre Holmes – After scoring 2 TDs Sunday, this guy was probably picked up last night, however if he’s still available go and grab him. Holmes is a great athlete and David Carr has a big arm so I expect the big plays to continue.
Odell Beckham – Another guy that is most likely rostered, however if he’s not you need to add him asap. With Victor Cruz out Beckham’s role should dramatically increase. He’s a playmaker that can play inside and out and should put up nice numbers going forward.
Allen Robinson – Robinson is a great talent that leads his team in targets, catches, and receiving yards. Although the Jags offense isn’t very productive, as Blake Bortles continues to grow, I expect Robinson’s numbers to go up.
Davante Adams – Adams is another rookie whose targets keep going up each game. In a prolific offense it’s just a matter of time before he has a break out game, plus if there’s an injury to Nelson or Cobb his targets would sky-rocket.
Jerick McKinnon – In week 6 McKinnon was promoted over Matt Asiata so it looks like he’s the Vikings RB to own going forward. Jerick has a lot more physical talent than Asiata, who has put up some nice numbers this season. Now that McKinnon is the guy he could become a solid RB2 soon.
Antone Smith – Smith is a guy you should add and see if his big plays continue. With 5 plays of over 20 yards and a TD in 5 of 6 games he could be a nice add. He could also turn out to be inconsistent and the string of big plays fluky, but he’s worth an add to see.
Brandon Bolden/James White – With Stevan Ridley out for the season with a knee injury, and Shane Vereen being more of a receiving RB, one of these two guys could take over his role and be a very nice add. They could also all split carries, or the Patriots could rotate games where one gets a bulk of the carries. If you have an open roster spot though, one of these guys is certainly worth an add. Bill Belichick will probably start off with who he already knows – which is Bolden – so I’d add him over the rookie White, but New England wouldn’t have drafted James in the 4th round if they didn’t like his talent so it’s really a toss-up.
Dropped Asiata for McKinnon and picked up Odell Beckham as well – we’ll see how it goes. Hope one does well since Moreno is on IR now.
Yeah horrible luck for us Moreno owners, should’ve been Miami’s starter if not for the ACL tear week 6. McKinnon is a freak athlete though, ran a 4.37 40, had a 40.5-inch vertical, broad jumped 11 feet, and led all running backs in bench press reps with 32 at the combine, really high ceiling.
