Earlier I updated that Jason Garrett announced the team was anticipating signing a Wide Receiver to fill in for Dez Bryant during his absence. The first moves of that have begun as reported by Cowboys Insider Mike Fisher.
#Cowboys Stephen Jones just ducked into Will McClay offices. Time to churn roster again – this time due to need.

BOOM. Move 1: #cowboys are waiving OT Jordan Mills
— fishsports ✭ (@fishsports) September 14, 2015
Jordan Mills was not the player I expected to get waived. With his age and experience, there was some belief the Cowboys may have had long term plans for Mills. Perhaps this says more about the player’s attitude and work ethic, as there is still a need for another Offensive Tackle on the 53.
Mills’ reported foot injury was not expected to be extremely debilitating, so I do not believe that was the concern here. As soon as we get word on any news on who is being added to the roster, we will let you know.
