Judge Denies NFL’s Expedited Hearing Request; Zeke Plays Washington

Jess Haynie

The NFL requested that Ezekiel’s Elliott’s October 30th hearing in New York for the ongoing fight over his suspension be moved up to this week. According to reports this morning, that request was denied, ensuring that Elliott will be able to play in the Cowboys’ critical Sunday road game in Washington.

Elliott will be coming of monster game yesterday in San Francisco, with over 200 combined yards and three touchdowns. Dallas will need him next week in a tough division rivalry game. Washington will be either 4-2 or 3-3 after their game tonight against Philadelphia.

The October 30th hearing now puts Dallas’ Week 8 game against Kansas City, and the five that come after it, in the crosshairs. The saga continues.

  1. The NFL is being rabid about this because they know they ran a bad inquiry with a highly suspect result. The Cowboys and Elliott have a right to a reasonable process, and lording this over them each week is not reasonable.

They know Elliott has grounds and is not caving. The fair thing is to deal with the matter in the offseason.

I can’t wait until Goodell is not running this league.
